Its not to hard to get in, but focus on scholarships they give out a ton! Also apply for the honors program if possible (its not harder classes!) you get better professors, earlier class picking and youll met all the other honors people!

Have atleast a 2.8 gpa and a 20 act score coming out of high school. If you are a transfer, just have a 2.5 gpa and your in. Not very hard at all.

Don't worry about getting into Northern Illinois University, if your ACT/SAT test scores were bad. No problem! They let just about anybody in.
-NIU has a program called "C.H.A.N.C.E." You basically can get a second chance at entering the college if you didn't meet the initial requirements. A good majority of people at NIU enter through this program.
-NIU has "open enrollment" days now, were you meet with an advisor on the spot and they decide whether or not your accepted.
-Overall, the requirements for entering the college as a freshman/transfer are pretty low.
